Going for street shopping can be hectic especially in summers. People swamping in and bargaining everywhere and the sun becoming your worst enemy and making you sweat and burn like this is the sweet revenge for all the boys who hate their girlfriends going to shopping. A number of things we can do to make our shopping experience quick and comfortable. Here are few tips for street smart shopping:
Be comfortable and wear comfortable :
So do not deck yourself. It is only shopping and you can look like a commoner. Wear comfortable cotton clothes in summer. White clothes are a no! Sweating and dust of the streets will make them lose their luster and even Ujala will not help. Where khaki pants or shorts with pockets so you can keep the change or your phone. Make sure your pants are not below the ankle or the helm will get dirty as you move in the streets. Do not I repeat do not wear makeup like mascara or eyeliner or anything that has a chance to spread and make you look like a perfect Zombie!
Keep yourself sun safe :
Wearing a good sunscreen to protect you will be a good idea. You can also get UV protected glasses or goggles.
Keep yourself dry:
No matter what the weather is street shopping and crowd can make you swear as well as sweat using a dry fit deodorant will be a good idea. Also, carry extra sanitary napkins if you need carrying it will be a good idea.
Carry your baggage:
Remove everything from your purse except maybe your wallet. Carry a big empty bag or buy a good bag from the street vendors of the place where you are in. This will help you stuff your items quickly.
Carry extra clothes for measure:
Carry your good fitting t-shirt. The reason is when you are buying anything you can compare the size by putting the clothes on top of each other and matching the size as making out the size in street shopping is very hard (Lack of trial rooms!). In addition, we do not want to make the street our trial room for everyone to see! Some people even prefer to carry an inch tape to measure bottoms and if they are of correct waist. This actually makes you a street-smart shopper!
The other great thing we should do is carry change. Instead of showing off the big bucks where you lose the will to bargain as the shopkeeper will never have enough change to return you the money and the richer you sound the lesser you can bargain.
Time matters more:
Usually, some shops give special discount if you are their first customer as they feel it is lucky and of course, there will be lesser crowd so less demand and more opportunity for you to bargain.
Buy in bulk:
I do not want you to start a wholesale shop but if you buy, more than one item from one place there is a chance that price per item may decrease. Brush up your math!
